The MELPRO 2026 Poster Session is dedicated to the memory and scientific legacy of Professor Enrico Drioli (1941–2024), one of the pioneers of modern membrane science and engineering.

Professor Drioli had a long-standing connection with MELPRO. He contributed to the conference from its earliest years, including as a plenary speaker at the first edition in 2012 and later as Chairman of the conference. Beyond MELPRO, his influence reached across the international membrane community as a researcher, educator, co-founder and Honorary President of the European Membrane Society, and founder of the Institute on Membrane Technology in Italy.

Through his scientific work and mentorship, he influenced generations of researchers and helped build the international membrane community we know today. By dedicating the poster session to his memory, MELPRO 2026 pays tribute to this legacy while providing a space for researchers to share new ideas, discuss emerging work and create the collaborations that will shape the future of membrane science.
